Create a carousel people can use and save

Build an educational Instagram carousel with a useful lesson, one clear point per slide, and an app introduction that fits the topic.

The method

  1. Choose a task your reader can perform after reading. Write the useful advice before the product mention.
  2. Put one point on each slide. Include a concrete example or checklist instead of general encouragement.
  3. Introduce the app at the step where it helps. Show authentic UI and explain its role.
  4. Track saves and shares separately from clicks, installs and purchases. A useful saved post can have little purchase intent.

Usefulness creates a reason to keep the post. Relevance creates a reason to try the app. Your sequence should make both understandable.

Worked example: fictional puzzle app

Opening: Three ways to make your next practice session easier.

Lesson: choose one skill, try a short exercise, review the mistake.

Product reveal: show the app’s actual exercise and explanation.

Next step: save the checklist or try the matching exercise.

Examples here are illustrative. Choose a length and reveal position that fit the lesson, then compare similar observation windows.
